Avoiding Stress for Better Health

Stress has been a topic of high medical interest for years.

If we would like to maintain good health and a positive quality of life – stress reduction is critical.

Just think for a moment about stress in the workplace. Work pressure and job strain can lead to a much higher risk of developing heart desease and an increased risk of stroke.

Not mentioning that it can also lead to weight gain if you turn to food for comfort.

When we are stressed, we tend to overeat, drink, limit our physical activity and watch too much TV.

To lessen your stress and reduce your risk of stress-related health problems you need to make healthy choices in life like being physically active, staying socially connected, getting good nutrition and maintaining a healthy weight.
